I have fed my cats every canned cat food I can get my hands on. Threw most of it in the trash because my cats just won't eat it. I have fed raw. I have fed homecooked. What food do they actually want to eat? Fancy Feast.

I tried making meals for my precious dog for nearly 20 years. She passed away just 4 months before her 20th birthday. Home cooking meal is the best for the pet. Or we should give dog food as minimum as possible.

i have a british shorthair female and she only accepts the royal canin british adult variant.. is it any good for her? she refuses to eat any other brands

Thank you for doing this. My vet just recommended a Royal Canin prescription for my cat's potential kidney issues. It's over twice as expensive as what I feed him now and has the same main ingredients as what you show here. The stuff I feed him now, American Journey, has a clear list of ingredients. No way I'm feeding my cat mystery meat for twice the price!

Thank you so much for making this video and the wet food one. I have been giving my cats Rawz wet food since I saw your other video. I love it and so do my cats. However, I can’t bring myself to pay $60 for a 7.8 lb bag of their dry cat food. I’m going to look into some of the other ones you mentioned to see if there’s a good one I can afford.

ALL food is poisoned.....animal and people food.....intensionaly...our corrupt government , corporations, medical, veterinarian etc have zero incentives to keep or make us or our pets healthy....they all have infinite incentives to keep or make us and our pets sick.

Please stop buying corporate poison and go BARF, they don't care about your pet or your love for them only care about your wallet. Is cheaper to go raw and my 2 dogs are in better shape than ever and also I'm saving a fortune. Stop believing in propaganda that only cares about money.

We take all the bones and make a lovely broth for us and our dogs, to the broth for the dogs we mix in rice, and or barley, and or split peas, any other grain, to make it a full protein, then you can add carrots, or whatever else your dog likes. They are so happy with this homemade dog food, one of our dogs stopped having seizures after we switched to homemade. What a sad state of the world when are dogs are being poisoned, what a betrayal.

Certified nutritionist? May I ask by whom? Corn has nutrition and wheat is not anywhere near the number one allergen in dogs. It’s usually a protein like chicken or beef and chicken is by far the most common. Food allergies are uncommon and wheat is low on the list. I know this because I’m an RVT that’s taken several nutrition classes. Where are you getting your information from? Did you further know that things like kidneys and liver are byproducts as well? Are you also including those with your “poopoo” foods. Also don’t get me started on the issues we’ve seen with dogs on raw or “fresh” foods.

Feed your dog carna 4 every batch is tested for salmonella never had a recall all natural no added vitamins the absolute best dog food for your furry friend if u love your dog as much as I do u will make the switch 😊.

I'm gonna change my kitten's food from Taste of the wild Prey to Instinct But im a little bit worried about those raw ingredients in Instinct... Won't it cause problems such as parasites or ...??!!!

We just recently lost our yorkie our baby. We thought we were feeding good dog food. She was healthy acting, having fun. Next thing she was so sick and passed away. We told the vet to try to save her at any cost. He couldn't save her.

I'm in Canada and have had the same concerns .Originally used Acana till they cheapened the recipe then switched to Oijen Regional Red when bison was a main ingredient but was dropped over a year ago, now they just dropped wild boar while still being extremely expensive. I'm switching to another Canadian company that many breeders recommend which is Inukshuk Professional Dog Food. over the years I've had to switch foods because of brand expansion which resulted in poorer quality product.

Hi- I have a few questions that might help other viewers. It’s been 3 years since you posted the video and I have seen your video regarding Orijen, but have any other dog foods increased or decreased in quality from this list? Also, have any brands gained popularity that you would recommend? I am curious about Instinct freeze dried raw + kibble and Nulo. Also, I have heard that Diamond brand food is heavily linked to cases of nutritionally mediated cardiomyopathy- do you have any comment about the brand in general Or were you aware of this already? Lastly, many nutritionists I’ve read that don’t provide recommendations but rather a guide to choosing food steer clear of ingredients and focus on peer reviews studies and trials, companies who fully staff a nutritionist and foods that are WSAVA/AAFCO approved. The average consumer might find figuring that out difficult since companies don’t always respond / offer this information on their websites. Are these considerations necessary?

The other day, this guy's dog passed on after a life of about 17 Mos. He had a seizure. Noted the dog ate about 30 mind. earlier. He fed the dog 'pet food.'

I just found this out! I am going to stop as soon as I run out of both ORIJEN and Acana cat dry food. I mix them with other ones but I have heard many complaints now about cats throwing up and getting diarrhea. I am so upset for this is a constant that keeps happening over and over again. This sucks for this company. Mars also owns veterinary hospitals which is why going to the vets is now outrageous too! They also own Nutro which changed a lot. I am stopping them because they made my 10 month old kittens too fat. They are almost 20 pounds! I never had this happen with rescues. Now I have to rethink the whole mix I give them!

Raw meat is the best diet with variety of meats. I feed my large dog raw meat three times daily since he was a puppy, he is 17 years old now and 45kg healthy. It’s all a gimmick these dog foods and there all processed even the high end dry kibble.

Have they ruled out melamine contamination? My understanding is that the AAFCO requirements for testing covers protein, fiber, fat, moisture, but I admit this is not an area of expertise for me. Depending upon the test for protein, melamine has been used nefariously to fake a higher level of protein. So I definitely would be looking at supply chain and ingredient origins AND testing methodology.
